Mid-Century Modern What?

Does that mean it was modern in the mid-century or it’s modern now? Doesn’t matter I guess. We all know what we’re talking about. All that really cool, bright, seemingly simple style. Hippies hadn’t even been invented yet but middle America was going through a revolution. Orange shag rugs and Eames chairs in the parlor. Remember when you used to go over to Peter’s house and the fireplace sort of hung from the ceiling and you had snacks at a kitchen bar? His parents thought they were pretty conservative.

 Now the real stuff is fantastically valuable but you can get pretty cool knock offs at Target. Good design doesn’t belong to any generation. Linda Tilman helps us celebrate those times when a personal rocket didn’t seem too far out.
