THE CATS ARE BACK
We were down to a couple cases of AlphaCats which were were guarding, because you don’t want to be caught with no cats when a cat person needs a puzzle, but our manufacturer fit us in for a limited run so we can now offer our 1000 piece AlphaCats puzzle to anybody who wants one. It’s bright an colorful so you don’t even need to be a “cat person” to love it. We were able to restock Hawaii and ArtDeco as well so we should be in pretty good shape for a while.
VINTAGE HAWAII….MIDWEST DREAMING
The accountant at our Midwestern manufacturing plant says our Vintage Hawaii 1000 piece puzzle is one of her all time favorites, and they manufacture A LOT of north America’s puzzles. We edited out most of the politically incorrect images on this Vintage artwork but there’s no way to get them all. We just got a small shipment so they will be available on Amazon as well as HennessyPuzzles.com
HOW COME JUNKYARD LIGHTS and DREAMWORLDS are such poor sellers?
Our two newest puzzles, Junkyard Lights and Dreamworlds sell so poorly that they don’t even cover their storage costs. They’re great puzzles and got some of the best reviews we’ve ever had for puzzles. We haven’t advertised them much, but we don’t advertise any of our puzzles much. They’re challenging, but lots of people appreciate challenging puzzles. Tell me why you wouldn’t buy these puzzles. I might send you one.
A TIME FOR HOARDING
We don’t have any idea when things are going to get back to ”normal” and can hardly remember what “normal” was. The supply chain is still uneven and I don’t have any idea if we will be able to restock inventory by the holiday season. It could be that some of those shipping containers still stuck out in the harbor are full of jigsaw puzzles that other companies ordered from China and that they will flood the market…or not. What I do know is that if you order holiday gifts now they will arrive in plenty of time. What’s the worst that can happen? You do the puzzles yourself and have to reseal them for the holidays? Go ahead. You can decide who’s naughty or nice later.
WE HAVE A FEW CLASSIC VOLKSWAGENS LEFT
We started Hennessy Puzzles back in 2014 with four puzzles. The classic Volkswagen one probably had the most sentimental value. I rebuilt a lot of VWs in my youth. We found a great artist in El Salvador to draw the cars and backgrounds. It quickly became our best selling puzzle but the Volkswagen company told Amazon we had infringed on their design patent (this was before the smog test cheating that later took up their lawyers time.) We found @100 copies of the Classic VWs that we offer for direct sale on our website. When they’re gone they’re gone for good.
TIKI, ROAD TRIP, MID CENTURY MODERN, MID CENTURY MODERN CHRISTMAS, AND VINTAGE TRAILERS
Not a stinker in the bunch! Linda Tillman’s puzzles have become the heart of the order for Hennessy Puzzles. Every one of them sells well online and retail. A lot of puzzles start off strong then gradually fade, not Linda’s. I’m pretty sure a lot of our customers wind up with all five of them over the years.
COMIC BOOK COVERS, ADVENTURES IN SPACE, and STEAMPUNK
The puzzles we did with Lois Sutton’s artwork have to be the most eclectic collection we’ve ever done. The only one that we have enough of to sell on Amazon is the Comic Book Covers and even they are getting scarce. You can find puzzles similar to the Comic Books by other companies. Not the Space or Steampunk. I delighted we still have a few left to offer in our catalog.
CLASSIC MUSTANG
We don’t have the license anymore so we’re not really supposed to sell these but we found a couple cases of the Classic Mustang Puzzle that we don’t want to go to waste. It got great reviews when we sold them on Amazon. Now they’re just getting old in the corner. We also have a few American Muscle car puzzles we’d be happy to clear out.
DOGS ALL OVER THE PLACE
A friend of ours went to an art show an saw …..Melinda Curtain’s Alphadogs painting and called up to insist we had to do a puzzle with her images. It was our best selling puzzle for a long time. We even did a 300 piece version of it for children and less ambitious adults. We have plenty of both versions and won’t be satisfied until every dog lover in America has one of these puzzles. For the cat lovers we got Melinda to do AlphaCats puzzle. There are plenty of homes where Dogs and Cats get along just fine.
PUT AMERICA BACK TOGETHER
O.K. we took it apart. We did our usual 1000 piece version that was very popular. I started hearing stories of fourth graders taking it on to learn their states and Capitols. Very few fourth graders have the patience to assemble 1000 piece puzzles so we offered and identical image 300 piece one. It seems there are lots of people who are willing to try to put America back together. We try to keep both the 300 and the 1000 piece versions on sale on Amazon. IF YOU HAVE A KINDLE
Even if you usually read on a kindle because you can make the type bigger you’ll appreciate this collage of images celebrating real books. The Joy of Reading will appeal to anyone who has ever read to someone…or wishes they did.

The images are bright and fun. The celebration only happens once a year but this puzzle is bright and fun so it a year round favorite.
YOU HATE CALIFORNIA….YOU THINK WE CARE?
It seems like lot of people who have never been here hate California. That’s just fine. For those who have been here and want to revisit we offer our illustrated 1000 piece puzzle to remember us by. For the native Californian it will remind you how much of California is north of San Francisco and exactly where Los Banos is.
LOS ANGELES METRO AREA MAP PUZZLE
Even if you know where Garden Grove is and you have spent so much time on LA freeways you think you know your way around, you don’t. Did your know LA ambulance drivers are required to be able to read an old printed Thomas Guide in case their GPS isn’t working. Doing this LA map puzzle might will remind you of places you think you might have been. If you’re not from Los Angeles or haven’t visited what are you thinking?
HOT AIR BALLOONS
We have a couple cases of Hot Air Balloons for sale. It was done by the same artist who did our Classic VW puzzle and is just as bright and fun but it never sold well and we have discontinued it. We’d like to find good homes for the last ones.
YOU MISSED THE AFRICAN ANIMALS
We have just a few African Animals Puzzle we did with the Zimbabwe Artist Project. It has a great of story of how it came about. The Zimbabwe Artists Project has disbanded and we are going to keep the last few copies of the puzzle for people who deserve them….returned Peace Corps Volunteers top the list.
WE GIVE YOU THE WORLD
For puzzlers ambitious enough to take on putting the world together we have a few cases of our 1000 piece World Puzzle left. We even have some available on Amazon. It’s a great geography lesson.
